Gratitude journal

When it helps: When you want to train attention toward what went right, not just what snagged.

When it doesn't: Not for the middle of a crisis, and not a replacement for feeling the hard parts: it just adds back what you'd otherwise skip past.

Three good things, most days. It’s a small, slightly awkward practice with a decent evidence base: deliberately noticing what went right nudges attention off the day’s snags. “The first sip of coffee” does more than “my health”. It’s saved in your browser only. Nothing leaves this device.

It feels forced at first, and works anyway. Specific and small beats grand and vague.

Three things. Small counts. Specific beats grand: "the first sip of coffee" over "my health".
