Getting to know each other

Before any paid work begins, we have a conversation: twenty to thirty minutes, free, no obligation in either direction. Its only purpose is to get to know each other and find out whether we fit.

Why bother?

Because fit matters most. Therapy works through the relationship, and not every therapist-client pairing makes a good one. That's not a failure of either person, it's how relationships work. An honest first conversation protects you at least as much as it protects me: it's better to find out in thirty free minutes than in three paid months.

Not every match proceeds. If I think someone else would be a better fit for you, I'll say so, and where I can, I'll point you toward them.

What happens in it

You tell me roughly what brings you. I tell you how I work. We both notice how the conversation feels. We talk about fees, including reduced-fee places, if that's relevant for you. If we both want to continue, we schedule a first session. If either of us doesn't, we say so, like adults, and nothing is owed.

How to arrange one

Write to me: vladmunteanupsiholog@gmail.com or the contact form. I reply within 3 days. These conversations happen on Tuesdays.

If we proceed

Before the first paid session, I'll ask you to fill in a short initial assessment form: medical history, current treatment, that sort of thing. The form exists only on this site, stores nothing, and you choose how it reaches me: by email or printed and handed over.
